So I open my eyes, and look around and my surroundings appear western, perhaps like a Renaissance festival. There is a grassland spread out before me with small wood post shops all lined up in a crooked little row. The first shop I come to in the line, there's some gentlemen discussing these plastic-glowing figurines that seem to be all the rage. Their fairly handsome gentlemen, the working sort.
The figurines them selves are about 3 inches wide and tall (like those little Buddha paper weights) and are typically a solid acrylic color or a clear color. In fact paper weight is a good way to describe them despite their light weight. They can take any shape from small Buddha to a rubber duck, or a flower. These little plastic figurines were everywhere, mostly hanging from stall posts and ceilings like prizes. (Similar to the way toys are displayed at theme parks)
Continuing on, these gentlemen seem to be discussing the seriously popular plastic things versus the incredibly rare ones. Their intense discussion intrigued me so I evesdropped. The information I acquired informed me that both Red and Yellow Ducks are extremely rare and so are the translucent red ones.
As I step into town it appears to be your a-typical regular old west town with all of the classic 'shops' and 'saloons' on the left and right. With booths lining the right side of the street along with various gambling games. People ensuing in said act of wining prizes and loosing terribly. At the end of the line where the booths meet the standard shops apart from the fair, there's a long shaded table similar to an out-door bar. This bar also has a few games being played, the most notable would be a combination of ma-jong and dice.
As I make my way to that bar a yellow duck suddenly catches my eye, its hanging at the end of its string on the post of the second-to-last booth, which is hidden behind some of the others. Thefty thoughts creep into my head as I wonder just how difficult it would be to steal. I glance around and notice that no-one is even keeping a good eye on it at all. I was watching everyone at once, and just reaching my hand out to grab it when my name is called. I turn around to realize that the name-caller would be my two neighbors. Aaron and Steve. Both are pretty drunk, and attempting to wing the Ma-jong-dice game.
At first glance this game seemed
quite intricate and I didn't understand how to play at all, but all the sudden I was being guided to the bar by someone and forced to pay for a round. It was like two dollers on your first try and four if you played willingly again.
A bunch of majong-like blocks were all lined up in an odd sort of pattern some face up some face down. Idont know how else to describe this. I was handed a small die and instructed to roll it across the table; I did, not sure what I got when it landed. The tender flipped one of my bricks over and informed me I had lost.
Oh well? Then Steve and Aaron completed said gaming process and neither of them won, so we played again. I would have won but Steve some howbeat me that time causing both
me and Aaron to loose. Everytime I looked at the majong bricks they were arranged differently finally the 3rd time I won and suddenly my sister /(the blond one) of all people 'popped' up from behind the counter and presented me with a selection of poptarts. All of them were melted like pudding though as though they were liquified and presented in Canadian milk form.
So after studying my choices (poke'mon sprinkles, chocolate, banana, vanilla, strawberry creamchese) I chose strawberry and cream cheese.
I bid my friends farewell and met my mom on the right side of the bar. We walked arround it and by now I was clothed in the approiate attire: I was wearing a grey bodice and dress with a tunic, she was wearing similar in red and black. She looked older and kind of mad, her hair was messy and
her dress wasn't plain or pretty while my dress was plain. She resembled a medeival Marla from Fight Club.
So we strode arround the building to the back and I say
"This is going to look like the back alley from Freddy Pharcus Frontier Pharmacist" and what do you
know it did. There was a graveyard far out in front of us (behind that a block obiturary)
then to the right there were the back of buildings and an old outhouse which I was incredibly tempted to either push over or investigate but mom kept me away.
Creeping through an alley way and having to step on logs because the ground was gross and muddy we made our way into a black sooty building labled infirmary, with a single red cross over the door. I followed mum down a hall to the left and in the seccond door on the left, while seeing people go in and out the third door further down on the left, a man came to join us. We entered the room and she sat down first. It was a square room with a small table in the middle a couch on one side and probably four much older scattered about in various chairs.
She suddenly pulled out a cigarette and began smoking, I did too aparently and I watched it, I even felt my self pulling in (but not in my lungs) I think I was just pretending I hope so atleast. So I ended up crushing it in the ash try. The whole time (this felt like a 30 minute afair if not an hour) mom and the men were talking or discussing something she didn't feel lke my mom however as she was acting very strange. This is a dream after all. She was adjusting her bodice a bit and I could see ash and soot covering parts of her face smearing on her shirt and hands.
There was someone on my left too I think it was my brother but I couldn't see him I didn't know who he was. Then a little bit later we were walking down the street and I looked ahead and blinked because suddenly a very tall brick building appeared quite clearly in my path.
Blinking I looked behind us and the town had gotten smaller, much smaller...
Turning back there was another brick building I could hear an odd honking sound in the distance.
To my front left there was this huge looming building with a nose end like a ship jutting out the top with an antenna.
"Mum, are you seeing whot I'm seeing?" I asked speaking in perfect british tongue.
"Oll of a sudden there wos this big brick structure in front of me, the road is gone and there's another building over there with oll these people werking on it... young people even women in mens clothings. That stucture is complete and this one... is almot done."
She shrugged and kept walking then suddenly when I turned arround again it was future road coming towards me and turning back the buildings were done and from the left a car was speeding towards us. The car skidded to a stop and a strange black man got out. He had short well kept dreads and wore the latest fashion. He asked whats wrong, and why four very strangely dressed people were standingin the middle of the road. We just looked at him. Me mom, my brother, and who ever else was with us. She went over to him with a creepy smile and whispered something to him. He nodded and handed me a book.
When I opened it it was a picture book, and inside was a very interresting story with incredibly vivid pictures. The cover was purple with gold trim, and all the pictures were color full, as it was a pop up book, it seemed to be about an evil entity (Morgan le fay I can only suspect...)
and a heroin and stuff happen s that I dont know and then I woke up.
